One of the best things about living in York Region is our libraries. The local library is a great meeting place and has free internet access, books for children and adults to borrow, as well as free videos and DVDs.
Libraries provide people with the latest information, learning, leisure and cultural activities. There are libraries in all nine local municipalities in York Region.

Libraries offer free internet access and computers equipped with the latest software.
Membership is free for people who live, work or attend school in a local community. When applying for a library card, you need to provide two pieces of identification, one piece which shows your current address.
Many libraries have books in languages other than English and French.
