Community Representatives Come Together to Improve Immigrant Settlement in York Region

The Community Partnership Council (CPC) works with the Region to develop and implement The York Region Immigration Settlement Strategy. CPC includes individuals from a variety of community stakeholder groups.

CPC Role

The role of the CPC is to develop and implement the Immigration Settlement Strategy, specifically:

  • Evaluating and assessing assets and gaps
  • Identifying priorities for funding
  • Suggesting activities for the Strategy
  • Looking at ways community stakeholders can stay connected on newcomer issues
  • Act as ambassador for the implementation of the strategic priorities
